In autumn, robert Jan Stips returns to the Nits. The keyboardplayer joins the band for a long tour to celebrate the 30 years existence of the band. Occasionaly, Michiel Peters joins the band for these shows.

Twelve new songs are recorded in a short span of time in the band’s own Werf studio in Amsterdam.

The eightteenth album 1974 is accompanied with a dvd with recordings from the period 1981 - 2000.
